Do you know of any archery clubs/classes in the New Orleans, LA area? Clifton Juan Harvey, Louisiana PH# & FAX#: 504-368-0694
Response:
For adult or for Junior (JOAD)? There is a link on the TSAA website that explains JOAD and helps find local chapters using the National Archery Association’s website link… http://texasarchery.org/L1/ClubsJOADs.htm and scroll down past the FAQ and other resources. For adults, best to check the yellow pages and call/ask the local archery shops… > Do you know of any archery clubs/classes in the New Orleans, LA area? > Clifton Juan > Harvey, Louisiana > PH# & FAX#: 504-368-0694

Question:
Can anyone recommend an archery club in the Toronto area. I’ve searched online and only found three – one is near Orangeville (too far away), one north of Markham (also too far away) and another is at UofT (can’t join because they told me I have to be a current student or alumnus). I’d like to find a club within the city if possible. Any help offered is greatly appreciated. BTW, I used to belong to the Nepean Archers – near Ottawa – in the late ’70’s and want to resume the sport. I’d also be interested in some refresher lessons, so a club that offers some form of schooling would be ideal, but not imperative. Cheers, Dave

I’m about to move from the UK to the Netherlands (The Hague area) and am interested in any information I can get on Archery clubs in the area. Am I likely to have to re-take a beginners course there? (I’ve been shooting weekly for over a year and a half here in the UK) Do they do Field archery there? How about Traditional Archery (I’ve been shooting an English Longbow quite a bit lately) TIA Al…
Response:
Try: http://holland.archery.start4all.com/ For a club in The Hague: http://www.denhaag.org/~handboog/ If you have been shooting for a year and a half it is very unlikely you will have to take a beginners course. Maybe one of the trainers at the club would like to see you shoot, but I don’t think there will be any problems. We do have field competitions and traditional shooters. I don’t have the URL at hand at the moment, but I will look and post it a.s.a.p. Hi Hans, I don’t know of one but if you log on to www.gnas.org which is the governing body for archery in the UK and look at how to and select the region that you will be staying in it will give you a contact telephone number for the regional secretary who will put you in touch with your nearest club. Hope this helps Neil

I think Royal Richmond Archery Club might be in that area
They shoot at a Rugby ground next door to Kew Gardens, I think. Hi Ted: Check with the Archer’s Nook http://mars.execulink.com/~archnook/index.html . They are a Pro Shop based in London Ontario, and I’m sure they can help. They are also a terrific retailer. I’m in Victoria BC, and I order from them despite the fact that they are about 3,000 KM away
You may also want to browse the Federation of Canadian Arches’ Web site http://www.fca.ca/ as I’m sure they have a club list. Good luck…. — Mitch Rosenberg Victoria, British Columbia Canada

Hi, Just moved into Cambridge/Boston area in Massachusetts. Was wondering if there are any archery clubs around here that meets regularly? Thanks
Response:

There has been an archery club at MIT, I would check that out. At times it has been pretty active, at other times it has been completely dormant. If you are interested in FITA, target-style, shooting then the best place is probably Archery USA in Dedham. If your main interest is 3D then there are plenty of clubs in the area. However, I have no clue about them since I’m a target guy. Marty Sasaki
Response:
Absolutely Archery USA is the place to be in Boston for target shooting.

Not exactly in SLC but you can’t do much better than Provo Canyon in Provo (just south of you) I shot there a few years ago. It was a great and challenging course. Keep’em straight wPm — S&B Enterprises Sunland,CA. 91040 ‘..the MOUNTAINS are calling and I must go! <John Muir>

when I was in Denver awhile back I called several archery shops – they were ALL very helpful. There is a private club there that they can point you to and also there is a state park over on the southwest side of Denver, near red rock and highland ranch estates, that has an outdoor range.
